INTERVALLO: PFM “Harlequin” (single edit) 1975

10 Apr

Dall’album CHOCOLATE KINGS (1975) (2CD mini lp replica K2HD 2014)

P-01 - Chocolate Kings PT-SHM Front + OBI + Sticker

Harlequin came at night
bowing to the ghosts of freedom square
stretching a silver rope
jester of frozen minds

and everyone of us
junkees and ghosts of freedom square
spoke through his waving hands
wept on his brother face
wispered through painted lips
rusty phrases forgotten lines

thinking of arrows lost
shooting them past the pain

and everyone of us
losers and lost and underdogs
just scraps of our younger minds
we danced all around the square
jumped to his see-through horn
screaming shouting forgotten lines

shooting our rage again
like arrows far past the pain

(and when the dogs fast arrived baying across the town
we were there all of us a million harlequins

and the town bloomed alive like a beautiful night fair
and we were thereall of us to be the rite of many …)

31 Gen

P.S.1: S.O.S. (TOO BAD) mi ricorda un sacco i MÖTLEY CRÜE, in meglio.

GET YOU WINGS ad ogni modo è un grande album, LORD OF THE THIGHTS, SPACED, e le meravigliose WOMAN OF THE WORLD e SEASON OF WITHER. Avrei dovuto nascere nel New England qualche anno prima. “

30 Dic

I love you folks.

INTERVALLO: Thin Lizzy “Fight Or Fall” (1976)

27 Nov

… After all this time
I tell-a tell-a myself that I’m
Just passing through time …

INTERVALLO: Led Zeppelin “No Quarter” (New York MSG 12-02-1975)

28 Set

Great show (for the 1975 tour standards) and excellent sound quality.

That night there was a heavy snowfall on New York City, Plant “Isn’t it good, though, it snows? Doesn’t it change the vibe of the city? I think it’s great. Anyway, so we’ll dedicate this to the, the keeper of the seasons. The man who gives us snow when we need it.”

During the guitar improvisations, Jones and Page reach the sidereal depths, with a magnificent John Bonham groove in the backgroud. Loose rock music at its best.

“In The Morning”
(feat. Serena Ryder)

We have to keep believing
It’s gonna be ok
Cause if we don’t we’re lost
Maybe we’re lost anyway
I want to lift you up
I want to make it great
I want to be the boat that carries you across the lakeYou push everyone away
But you don’t want to be alone
You still don’t know what you want
But you have to let that go
And trust that the sun will rise
In the morningI want to get too close
I want to be right there
It might all mean nothing
But I think that we’re getting somewhereYou push everyone away
But you don’t want to be alone
You still don’t know what you want
But you have to let that go
And trust that the sun will rise
In the morningWe have to keep believing
It’s gonna be ok
Cause if we don’t we’re lost
Maybe we’re lost anywayAt the end of the day
You don’t want to be alone
You still don’t know what you want
But you have to let that go
And trust that the sun will rise
In the morning
